Hull construction is of proven solid single skin glass fiber reinforced Vinylester laminate with Carbon fiber used to reinforce the hull stiffeners. Structural bulkheads are carbon sandwich. The freeboard is 10 cm higher giving improved headroom throughout the boat and the hull has been lengthened by 45 cm giving a spacious aft deck and ample stowage space in the lazarette (both items now standard on new Swan 82). | Teak veneer interior with hand rubbed satin varnish finish
Vinyl covered removable overhead panels are installed in all accommodation areas. The floorboards are of sandwich construction and the top face is teak with light stripes The floorboards are varnished with six coats of urethane varnish and have the same satin finish as the rest of the interior. Two suction lifters are provided. Topsides where visible lined with teak battens. Hardware and outfit components are of a type designed to eliminate rattling or hanging. The cabin doors are provided with double action locks and with catches to hold them in open position where possible. All cabin and bathroom doors can be locked from inside with a knob and from outside with a key. All locker doors are fitted with high quality furnishing hinges and are kept closed with push button latches. The hanging locker internal light will automatically switch on when door is opened. Berth lengths 210cm. An additional carbon insert with mattress has been made to convert the two twins into a double bed. En-suite head with shower, Tecma Silent marine toilet, shower curtains, mirrors and storage lockers Main Saloon On starboard side in the main saloon there are two chairs (Poltrona Frau) positioned in front of a small settee and the entertainment centre with plasma screen, video and stereo equipment. On portside in the main saloon there is a L-shaped sofa with a large saloon table and chairs. The saloon table can electrically be lowered to create a large lounging area with additional cushions to cover table top Nav Station The navigation area is multi functional and serves as navigation, communication and administration centre. The forward facing side functions as navigation table with the navigation computer and all navigation instruments grouped here. The aft facing part contains the office PC and all the communication equipment. There is a swiveling Recaro chair in front of the table. Aft Cabin The full width owner�s stateroom aft has a large centreline berth. On both sides of this berth is a desk/vanity table. There are large hanging lockers and an en-suite head with a separate shower stall. Engine Room Engine room is directly under the forward cockpit and is accessible under the main companionway steps, or through a door on the starboard side. A lighting protector on the masthead is connected with cable to keel. Wires are dimensioned to minimize voltage drop. Power supply of 230 V 50 Hz single-phase three-wire grounded AC system. The 230 V system can be fed by the diesel generator or shore power inlet. There are also a number of 230 V 50 Hz appliances fed through DC/AC inverters. The shore power is provided with a polarity alarm, polarity reversing switch, main switch and a 15 m shore power cable. Two Mastervolt, Mass 24 V 75 A chargers with 3-step charge characteristics, for service battery. One Mastervolt, Mass 24 V 50 A charger with 3-step charge characteristics, for instrument battery. One Mastervolt 24/2500 VA with a transfer switch 175 amp 24v alternator new in August 2008 Shore power inlet with 10kVa isolation transformer for European and US 230 V systems Outlets with earth fault protection. There is one double outlet in each cabin, saloon and navigation area and two double outlets in the galley. One outlet in the lazarette, engine room and one in each toilet.
